Well, here we are again, on January 1st. I can hardly believe it. I promised I would come back and report a year from this post, and that day has come. So to follow up on last year's goals:
-I lost about 18 pounds over the course of the year. 30 was a little ambitious. :) And although I'm nowhere near my "dream body," I feel much better.
-I read at least a book a month, although I didn't stick to my plan at all. I decided that with my personality (continually shifting focus and interest), it's best to go with what I'm feeling at the time. I wish I would have kept a record of all the books I read - I intend to do that during 2010. I do remember a few from 2009, and I would have to say my favorite of the year was Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. In a tie for second are all the Malcolm Gladwell books I read.
-I did not have a baby. Goal accomplished. And I'm not pregnant either. Just FYI.
Other items to report from 2009:
-Andrew was gone 202 days last year.
-That's all I have the mental energy to think of right now.
Here are my goals for 2010:
-Don't eat anything containing high fructose corn syrup.
-Go to the gym at least 2x a week, and work out at home to exercise a total of 4+ times a week.
-Scrapbook more regularly.
-Be Diligent. That is our family word for the year, so we will be focusing on many different ways to be diligent.
I love a fresh, new year with 364 more days to look forward to. All those days to fill with memories. Welcome, 2010.
