Progress

Today was my 2-week mark of my weight-loss and strength-gain journey. I have been following the Abs Diet mostly, although some days more loosely than others, and working out diligently. So, for the record, here it is.

Total weight lost so far: 3 pounds

A whopping 3 pounds. But after meeting with a trainer this morning, he told me that if you lose more than 3 pounds a week, you are probably not eating enough. I guess I was expecting results like Biggest Loser contestants. Thankfully, though, I am not THAT big, so I don't have that much weight to lose. So after hearing that, I feel more encouraged and motivated to keep busting my rear end. Literally. Those squats this morning...I can just feel my fat melting away. And that is a stinking good feeling. If only I could SEE my fat melting away. Soon enough.

Keep it up. I need to get working out again, but I am on a break. Looks like I need to sign up for a race (pay) and that will motivate me not to waste the money.

steph, I think that another thing you should measure that might be more motivating than just flat out weight, is your fat percentage and inches of your areas of focus. Take a tape measurer and write down how many inches your waist, bust, hips, legs, arms, (whatever it is you want really). Because I have noticed that even when the scale only says 1 pound, or 2 pounds, I have been losing INCHES. And that's so motivating too, sometimes that's all the progress I see. Oh, and if you have a cool scale like ours, it tells you your fat percentage also, which is nice because even when your weight doesn't go down, your fat percentage might because you're building muscle as you work out. Maybe those two things will help keep you motivated. way to go! i want to hear more about this abs diet.
